People were repeatedly told they couldn’t achieve their goals due to their social, ethical or financial circumstances. This unacceptable phrase was also used in 20th century. These words were meaningless to Oprah Winfrey. She made the world a better, more peaceful place back then and she is making it better again. She said “… This is how I came to realize that we are all responsible for our reality. Your thoughts and actions can make it your own. You can’t blame apartheid. Your possibilities are limitless. You can accomplish anything if you realize that.

Her syndicated talkshow “Oprah Winfrey Show” is the most popular way to know her. But, we don’t know how many trials she went through in order to get to where she is today. Why is she still admired by so many people? What are her qualities that people admire today? Evidently, she didn’t become the person that she is today overnight. She was defeated many times but she found strength by pursuing her dreams. She aspired to become a journalist. She was not able to give up her dream because she was a person from color. Business Insider reports that she entered Tennessee State University on April 12, 1971. She began work in Nashville’s radio and TV broadcasting. She was clearly criticised for her emotional involvement in her stories. Her employer reportedly said that she was “unfit” to work on television news. She was undoubtedly not broken, and it didn’t make her go to the top. You may be wondering what she achieved at that point. She started her own TV show, the “Oprah Winfrey Show”, which was a success. Her ratings exceeded Phil Donahue’s after only a few episodes. Winfrey is quoted as saying, “The best adventure you can have is living the life that you dream.” This makes it clear that she was an important role example for black American women. She has broken down many invisible barriers. Second, she taught that people should consider giving money away rather than receiving it. Her words were, “The secret to my financial success is that I have never focused on money.” She is an independent woman who started from humble beginnings and worked up to achieve her goals. She proved that love, perseverance and hard work can make it possible to achieve success. Since her birth, she was brought up in poverty. Her grandmother was her only relative, and she lived with them for the next ten years. Additionally, her mother’s male friends and relatives sexually abused her from the time she was nine years old. She was severely affected by the abuse. She knows what it’s like to be poor and how difficult it was to make ends meet. Today, Oprah has decided to donate the money she made from projects such O magazine and O magazine. Oprah has also helped South African girls get an education, and raised significant funds for Hurricane Katrina victims. Additionally, at least 10% of her enormous income is donated to charity. Her anonymous work is the best thing. When you consider all of this, I believe that people today will choose to follow those who have moral values and beliefs. Individuals who give back only the best to the world can change the world.
